I really don't understand. Rent for nine days was only 3300 RMB, but they charged me 93 Euros for being one and a half hours late. How is this calculated?! If they charged 366 RMB (47-50 Euros), I could understand, but why 93 Euros? Are they robbing me?
This car rental experience in Spain was the worst I've ever had abroad. Firstly, I booked a Mercedes E-Class luxury sedan, but they gave me a DS7 in poor condition instead. They insisted it was a car of the same class and that it was the last car available at the location, so I had to take it or wait a day or two for another car, which felt like a complete scam. Secondly, the service was incredibly arrogant. Even though I booked to pick up the car at 10 AM, the staff refused to open the doors for me. I waited from 9:30 to 12:30 to get the car, and the entire process was slow. Additionally, the car I received had a tire malfunction warning, and the staff insisted it was normal, causing the car to wobble for the first half of my trip. I had to visit several other branches in different cities to barely fix the issue. When problems arose, the store did nothing to help and pushed all responsibility to the rental company, resulting in delayed handling of any emergent situation. Overall, this experience deserves a negative review for the rental company.
Returning the car was difficult to find, we circled around several times since the navigation was inaccurate. Picking up the car was easy. We were convinced by the store to buy full insurance; the car rental was only 1800, but the insurance cost more than 4000. It's been over a month and the deposit hasn't been returned yet.
Though we had already chosen insurance on the Zuzuche website, the rental company still charged us for insurance. They explained that it was because the insurance policies are handled by two different companies, and many people end up buying insurance again.
The queue was very long, and they charged extra for traffic violations. This is the first time I've encountered this; other states and countries don't have this charge. It feels like everything is a fee in this declining capitalist country.
I booked an Alfa Romeo in Italy but was given a French DS instead. They charged me over 2000 for mandatory insurance and deliberately hid the deposit options. The experience was terrible.
