The pick up point was confusing. It said Fyshwick Downtown rather than Canberra airport. It would help to fix that.

Good, clean, economical Skoda. Check-in and check-out was efficient. Staff were polite and friendly. I would definitely use Alamo on my next trip.

It was not clear if it was unlimited kilometres or pay per kilometre . These daysd most rental cars are unlimitied but in Darwin many were pay per kilometre

What can I say but excellent as usual

Be aware ⚠️ they kept pushing insurance on me. I told them I had insurance from China, but they kept insisting and trying to scare me by saying that if I accidentally scratched the car or someone else did, I would need to pay up to 5200 AUD. They repeated this over and over. Once might be understandable as a job requirement, but then they said I needed to leave a 100 AUD deposit. I agreed, but then they said if I bought their insurance, I wouldn't need to leave the deposit! What kind of people are these? Now I'm worried I won't get my deposit back! Luckily, someone helped me translate, otherwise I might have bought their insurance, which costs more than 200 AUD. The person who helped me said it shouldn't be that expensive, so I didn't buy it! When I picked up the car, they also mentioned a hole in the mirror that would cost 2000 AUD to fix, saying that there are lots of stones on the road. I told them again that my insurance from China would cover it, and they said my insurance was garbage and wouldn't pay me back! My basic English is good enough to understand this! Now I'm worried about leaving the car outside, fearing someone might deliberately scratch it, which would be very troublesome.

The car went well and was reliable. It met my needs.

The service was just okay, communication was acceptable, but this was the most troublesome car rental experience I've had in years.

Service staff at pick up were great. Booked a Toyota Camry and was given a MG SUV which was a pleasant suprise.

The woman at the check out counter was extremely nice and helpful. She provided valuable information and directions. The car did not have floor mats and the bottom carpet had a hole worn through. The return area at the Perth airport was very confusing and I saw several cars/drivers circling the airport. I also had to circle twice as the signage was poor.

The car was older than expected with many scuff marks and some unrepaired damage. For a $5200AUD excess I would have expected a clean and modern vehicle without blemishes. The car was more than 3 years old and had over 70,000kms on it. This is what I would expect from a tier 3/4 service provider. Based on this, the day rate seems high and is not representative of age.

Got an unexpected upgrade to a slightly larger car i30. Car was newer model and drove well. Didn't like lane assist feature and wasn't sure how to disable this, felt like I wasn't in control of the vehicle. Warning flashed each time I started the vehicle for service reminder, apparently this vehicle had been serviced but they're unable to clear the warning. Communicating this to customers on pick up would be helpful

We would like to complain. The car seat in which we ordered wasn't fitted to the vehicle. It was placed in the car for us to fit. The $70 fee was still charged at location and we don't feel the service was met. If we had of known this we would have saved our money and bought our own with us. Very disappointed with Alamo and won't be using them again. The whole process was very stressful in the heat after a long flight with our toddler.
