The staff at the store were quite indifferent. They didn't print the rental time according to the night order, which resulted in a high displayed amount. After calling QEEQ, it was clarified that they had calculated the time for a few extra hours, resulting in additional rental and other fees. It was resolved after customer service coordination.
Very dissatisfied: 1. Extremely slow, took almost half a day to get the car; 2. The car they gave me was actually a Toyota; 3. I requested an automatic but got a manual; 4. They charged me twice for the same thing when I returned.
“Worst car rental experience ever, downgraded vehicle and unauthorized charges after returning home!”
About Maggiore:2.0/10
Deceptive practices, renting out a sedan as an SUV, pretending not to understand English! No service and awful attitude! Will never rent from this company again! Unauthorized charges! No guidance on how to pick up or exchange the car, had to figure it all out on my own, even asked other rental companies about how to operate the car. Most frustrating rental experience! They told me to go to another branch to exchange the car, which was a complete scam! Went to Florence to change the car, wasted time and fuel, and there were no cars available! Everything seemed fine upon return, but the moment I arrived back home, I got a message about a charge! Where can I even complain about this? First time encountering such a predatory charge!
Overall pretty good. Booked two cars for our trip and both got upgraded to a BMW X1 and an Audi Q2. They didn’t try to force any insurance on us. The only hassle was returning the car, as the area was filled with restricted zones and one-way streets, which the GPS failed to identify. We had to return to the hotel and get directions from the hotel staff to find the rental office. Make sure to ask for directions when picking up the car.
Although it's not the largest car rental company judging by the return parking space, the service throughout the rental process—from picking up the car, using it, to returning it—was satisfactory. It was a good car rental experience.
The order stipulated car pickup at 1 PM. When we arrived at the rental company, they said they closed at 11:30 AM and required us to pick up the car by 11:30 AM. The staff had a very bad attitude.
“Italian drivers are like flying, even older drivers go at least 120 km/h”
About Maggiore:8.0/10
The office is located in the farthest room, probably because its market share isn't high enough. Attitude was okay, and after completing the paperwork, the staff guided us part of the way since we didn't understand the directions to the car. He mentioned that we could return the car without a full tank and that their fuel price was cheaper than gas stations, which wasn’t entirely true. Maybe it’s a little cheaper than the stations near the airport, but I’d recommend filling up before getting to the airport. Diesel in rural areas was only about 1.26 euros per liter. The car was in great condition, a Fiat 500L, which can actually fit four people and two large pieces of luggage.
This car rental company is absolutely disgusting, complete scammers. When I picked up the car, the tank wasn't even full. The staff told me to return it with the same amount of fuel. They even pointed to the pickup slip where it said 80. When I returned the car, the inspection person checked the slip and said everything was fine. Now that I'm back home, they charged me, saying I didn't refuel it completely! I filed a complaint through the car rental platform, and they responded that the 80 referred to the tank capacity! Is this a premeditated scam? Deliberately unclear on the paperwork to confuse customers and then charge them extra? Could this method be any more despicable? PS: I speak Italian, so don't give me any communication error excuses. If this is their response, it only proves this car rental company is problematic, trying to scam as much money as possible. They probably rely on such methods to make considerable extra income, rental by rental. It's laughable and utterly disgusting!
Terrible service, constant extra charges, always pushing insurance. They gave me a car with scratches and claimed I caused the damage, charging me over 400 euros. I rented the car in August and the rental company is still charging my credit card monthly, 42 euros each time. I had to freeze my card today, it's terrifying.
