I booked an Audi A6, but when I went to pick it up, I was only offered a Touareg or a BMW 5-Series for an additional cost. There was also a random premium location fee.

Terrible! Everyone, be careful. This place is worse than smaller rental companies. They scammed us for extra insurance and a full tank of gas! Afterward, they tried to dismiss our complaints with a contract we never saw, and the signature was clearly copied and pasted! Never again, even if I can't find another car, I won't choose Avis!!!!

A German uncle was very enthusiastic and friendly. He didn't try to upsell and only asked once about insurance.

We had to wait three hours to get the car. The reserved Volkswagen Multivan was unavailable, but they upgraded us to a Mercedes Vito for free, and included three complimentary services: half a tank of fuel, no charge for a second driver, and no extra cost for driving outside of Germany. The Italian guy at the front desk was really patient and helpful. Kudos to him! I'll look for you next time! :)

The next day, I contacted the rental platform to request a vehicle change, but after two days, they still couldn't reach the rental office. Extremely disappointed with the German rental company.

The car rental company's service attitude is excellent! We arrived early and they still managed to accommodate us without pushing us to buy extra insurance. They respond quickly to issues via email. Highly recommend Alamo! Returning the car is easy; there's staff at the parking lot to collect the car. Remember to fill up the gas tank! I'm not sure if I have a fine yet, but the deposit should be refunded in about a month regardless.

At Munich Airport, the counters were sufficient and I was served immediately without waiting. Communication was very smooth. The pre-authorization was canceled within a week, without any charges. The vehicle was very new, performing well in all aspects. Fortunately, it was equipped with all-season tires, which came in handy on icy and snowy roads.

I reserved an EQA but it was unavailable. They offered two options: a free switch to Polestar 2 or an upgrade to EQB for an additional fee. I wanted to compare the cars first, but eventually had to pay extra. They provided a Shell charging card that couldn't be activated, so I had to go to the train station location to get a new one.

The car pickup was relatively smooth, but I was inexplicably charged 140.59 euros after returning the car. After multiple communications with customer service, they admitted the rental company made a mistake by charging for late return and vehicle upgrade. As of writing this review, it has been over forty days, and the platform only refunded about 40 euros of the mistakenly charged late return fee a week ago, with the remaining 100 euros still unresolved. Multiple phone calls to customer service have been met with excuses that the responsible after-sales person is in a meeting or has left for the day, and requests to speak with a customer supervisor have been denied. As a consumer, the experience has been extremely poor.

Almost no waiting in line, and when they tried to upsell insurance, they were fine when we told them we had already bought it elsewhere.
