Waited in line for an hour, the car model I reserved wasn't available, and they gave me a Ford Focus without any explanation. I refused and said this wasn't the car I booked. They said I would need to wait at least another hour for my reserved model. In the end, after waiting another hour, they only provided an electric Mercedes. Charging and driving on the highway in Germany is not convenient.
They gave me a problematic car. After driving 150 kilometers, the engine oil increased, and it couldn't be resolved. It took 3 hours to contact customer service and then went to the store to exchange the car.
They only have service centers in Germany and Spain. Communication over the phone isn't very effective when problems arise, so I don't recommend using them in other European countries.
I booked a luxury brand, even if the same model isn't available, a similar class car should be provided. In the end, I got a Renault. When I asked if I could change it, they said no, but I could pay extra for an Audi A4. This left a bad impression.
When picking up the car, the staff was quite impatient because he needed to leave at 3 PM to pick up his daughter. Moreover, the platform indicated that the car rental would cost over 300 euros, but the rental company actually charged 647 euros. Additionally, the 1500 RMB already paid on the platform could not be deducted from the bill, making it difficult to get reimbursed later. After calling customer service, they couldn't provide a clear explanation. To avoid affecting the visit, we had no choice but to rent the car, thereby bearing the cost ourselves. Furthermore, extending the rental via the app was not possible; it had to be done in person at the store, which was very inconvenient. As a result, we had to rush back to Munich overnight to return the car.
Arrived at the rental desk within the reserved time but was told the original car model was unavailable and was asked to pay extra for an upgrade. There was no guidance to pick up the car.
Due to being in a hurry and not reading the contract carefully, the Budget staff added extra insurance and other hidden charges without verbal confirmation.
“Was a bit confusing but the overall experience was good.”
About Alamo:8.0/10
It was difficult to understand what Alamo were charging me as the amounts they blocked on my credit card did not correspond to my quote from Qeeq. In the end, what they charged me was correct.
They added insurance despite me saying I didn't want it. They gave me three keys to choose from and ended up charging me for an upgraded model. Not only did they add insurance, but also a towing service fee! Ultimately, the most important part is that they charged me twice!
When I booked the car, it was supposed to be an automatic fuel car. However, the store claimed that the order did not specify automatic and fuel, and they offered an electric car instead. The rental company did not clearly indicate the user's requirements on the order. Although there were options to choose the model when paying, these were not reflected on the order. This misleads the user's requirements and does not match the reality. Overall, I felt deceived.
1. Europecar has hidden charges for navigation and high taxes. The car rental company didn't provide any introduction and directly asked to sign the contract. Europe car has hidden charges amounting to 194.4 euros. Because I emphasized that I didn't need additional insurance, they made me sign and included the navigation system, which I didn't need at all. Since the contract was entirely in German, I wasn't aware of their hidden operations. I booked through Zuzuche, without any additional services, and Zuzuche should bear these extra costs. But Zuzuche hasn't resolved the issue. I will continue to file a complaint with 12315 and expose Zuzuche's shirking of responsibility online.
2. Booked an automatic car, but received a manual Jeep.
Although the overall car configuration is good with heated seats, steering wheel, CarPlay, and rearview camera, the mechanical dashboard feels a bit outdated... And the dashboard showed a maintenance required sign as soon as I picked up the car. This lack of maintenance resulted in poor vehicle condition, low-speed shaking, jerky power output, and slow engine response.
