Car well exceeded expectations in terms of spec, A bargain for the price I paid. Asked for a 3 door kia got a 5 door Audi Sport. Car was clean and looked after well and quite new. Staff where quick and effective.

I picked up the car past 10 PM. Fortunately, I checked the car thoroughly and noticed damages that were not in the report. When I reported it to the staff, they just told me to take pictures and did not follow up. I trusted them, but when I returned the car, they tried to charge me for the damages. I showed them the photos and sent an email, but they still wanted me to pay for the repairs. This is unreasonable.

Very easy to deal

Terrible - Hertz wanted to charge a 1.300 GBP deposit on my credit card (including a horrendous imaginary price for fuel refilling)which was beyond my limit. I ended up having to take additional insurance of Hertz which costed 100 EUR and doubled the price of my car rental. They would then only take a 300 GBP deposit. An awful start into my holiday. And when a tyre went flat, the insurance wouldn't even cover that cost. :-( Apart from these incidents, it was okay!

Brilliant service, guy on the desk when I collected the car was really friendly, clear and helpful.

Pre-check prior to hire was not rigourous enough - this resulted in me being charged for stowed tyre inflator. This was apparently missing on my returning the van. So it was missing when I drove the vehicle off - unbeknown to me. For stowed (therefore hidden) parts, rental companies should have checklist of items renters need to check before leaving the forecourt. Wholly unreasonable for hire companies to expect renters to have mental list of all hidden equipment (spare tyre, jack, high viz jacket, triangle etc etc) that they need to check before leaving so that they do not get charged excesses on return! I contested this with Hertz and they waived the charge fortunately. But unpleasant.

The staff always have a bad attitude. When I declined the insurance at pickup, they became visibly upset. Upon return, we saw a map fall in the store and offered to help put it back, but the employee rudely took it away with a stern face the entire time. This service decline from a top rental company means I probably won't choose them again.

The car was badly scored and dented and when I raised this with the Hertz staff member he said he knew and the vehicle had 36 items of damage listed. The pick up bus took over 30 minutes to pick us up from the airport and when I tried to call the Hertz number received an automated answer saying no one was available. When eventually we arrived at Manchester rental area the staff said they were sorry for the delay but had a member of staff off sick. Overall a very poor experience from Hertz which let down the Easyrental experience.

Car was a work van but luckily some great staff at pick up point helped us

On arrival everything was done to dissuade us from getting the van. We were told the roads where narrow, at our destination the locals scratched cars because they did not like hikers and then offered two other cars for 2x and 3x the price. Oh and the price was presented to us always by subtracting the money we had already payed for the original booking. Everything was fine in the end.

Clear sign about collecting it from hotel as we couldn’t find anything to tell us we had to ask another company Not very clear about the marks on the car when collecting as there were quite a few that had been touched up with paint

Great deal on an auto car. Usually double the price. Even Hertz couldn’t believe the price. Definitely use Easyrent again.

Counter staff helpful at both ends. Didn’t get the specified car. The guy parking cars at the drop off stole the space I was going into and was obnoxious.
