“Car performed well for a 3 day weekend tour of Colmar wine country.”
About Hertz:8.0/10
The car had small items of damage not apparent in the report. I feel Hertz should give you full instructions on where to find the nearest petrol station to avoid delays on dropping off the car with a full tank of petrol. Brakes seemed very sharp if not used carefully. No reversing mirror to assist in backing in tight areas.
About QEEQ:9.0/10
The contract seemed threatening with lots of penalties identified in the original contract. Perhaps it was the French to English translation but I would hesitate renting a car from Hertz when Enterprise in Arras offered a much less threatening contract.
“Reserved regular car, received electric car. Was forced to upgrade.”
About Europcar:9.0/10
Although I reserved a regular car I was told by the europcar agent that I reserved an electric car and that I need to upgrade if I want a regular car. I upgraded, which meant I had to spendabout 70 euros more for my reservation.

Encountered an unexplained charge of over 50 euros, suspecting the store falsely charged for a full tank even though I declined at pickup and returned the car with a full tank. Last time it was Hertz, this time it's Avis (Budget). Both are bad, avoid these companies. Now waiting to see how much rentalcars.com can recover.
The service was good. When returning the car, they tried to say that the existing scratches were caused by us, but upon showing the photos taken during pickup, the staff said it was okay.
Very satisfied. We dealt with the same lady for both pickup and return. She was very efficient, especially when we couldn't find the parking lot for the return; she guided us directly to the return point. The service was excellent! We were particularly happy because the car was almost brand new, with just over 600 kilometers on it. We drove very carefully to avoid any scratches or dents and took great care of it, haha!
