“Initially positive - watch for additional charges!!!”

The hertz desk was busy lots of people collecting vehicles only 2 members of staff dealing with customers. Could have been quicker as a hertz gold member I am used to faster service. They have also made an additional charge of €82.40 which I am currently disputing and require further explanation.

Le enseñe a la persona de Hertz el bona de QEEQ donde ponia que teniamos contratada una franquícia de 1100€ y no valió para nada. Me dijo que las condiciones de Hertz eran 1800€ de franquicia y nos vimos obligados a contratar un seguro que nos costó 100€ porqué la diferencia de 700€ Hizo que no tuviesemos suficiente saldo en la targeta. Por supuesto el señor del mostrador de Hertz echó toda la culpa al intermediario, en este caso QEEQ. Nos hemos sentido engañados.

The staff were not very proactive during the pickup and exchange process. Additionally, when booking, there was no indication that this rental company does not allow inter-island travel, which caused significant inconvenience for our subsequent travel plans. We had to rent another car in Tenerife.

Counter staff were insisting our insurance wasn’t good enough, saying they hadn’t provided it so we needed to another €50... I had to insist I was happy that I’d bought all the cover I needed, but did feel pressurised.
The return office was closed and we were sked to drop off the key in a box. This leaves the customer feeling insecure as the vehicle isnt checked for scratches etc.
Car not in particularly good condition.
Inside of the windscreen was incredibly smeary - not ideal when driving at night with oncoming headlights meaning you couldn’t see much at all.
The guy at the pickup counter symbolically asked if we wanted to upgrade our car. They had an XC90 available but it would cost more. Since there were only two of us, we declined the upgrade. I showed him the full insurance purchased on QEEQ, and he didn't try to sell us anything else. We got a brand new diesel XC60, in a beautiful smog blue color!
This was the worst car rental experience I've ever had. The staff tried to upsell and change the car model, which incurred additional costs. However, since the price increase was not significant, I let it go. I explicitly requested not to use a credit card for payment and asked to use a Euro bank card instead. While I was getting the money, the staff locked the door and ended their shift, ultimately charging my credit card. Communication was completely ineffective, and I was repeatedly hassled. It was extremely unpleasant.
This was the worst car rental experience I've ever had. The staff at the store were pushy, trying to upsell and change the car model for additional costs. While the extra charges weren't too much, they ignored my clear request to pay with a Euro debit card instead of a credit card. The staff even locked the doors and left during my attempts to withdraw money, and ultimately charged my credit card. Communication was completely ineffective, and the whole process was extremely frustrating.
The vehicle was poorly maintained; after driving less than 100 kilometers, an AdBlue warning appeared. Not having driven a diesel before, I didn't know what AdBlue was and almost had a breakdown. Ended up spending money on AdBlue myself, which delayed my trip by nearly an hour.
Tras leer las reviews iba muy asustado pero, no se si fue casualidad de la chica o algo generalizado, la experiencia fue genial. No intentó venderme ni agregarme nada y todo fue claro y directo, además de muy amable y profesional.
El coche estaba sucio, olía mal y tenía bollos y rozaduras por todos lados, pero era alta gama y con muchos extras y en general terminamos contentos.
