Hiring the car was really easy. The only issue was a really long wait to do the paperwork before car. The counter staff were very helpful but there weren’t enough of them to cope with the numbers waiting to collect. They also spent too long on the hard sell of additional insurance, which did slow things considerably. We already had additional insurance but the staff member still tried to sell us more.

The purchase of the car rental was really easy, the confirmation was emailed promptly and the app was also useful.
it wasn't clear where to meet the shuttle bus on pick up, however I was very pleased with the collection staff, the queue was organised and not too long and the gentleman who served us was helpful, friendly and mainly didn't push the extras such as insurance etc like most car hire places do, a million times better than FireFly, made such a difference not to feel intimidated.

All went very smoothly although very disappointed with the amount of time spent at collection desk, this was running at full capacity, just not enough employees to handle the volume of customers.

The staff was good and very helpful in the counter and drop off. My only two "remark' are that I booked a Renault Megane and equivalent. And, I have a Fiat Tipo that I do not think it is at the same level. the second one is that one of the shuttle drivers did help us with the luggage. We have not only to load the suitcases in the van, but also to open and close the back door to do it....
Counter staff helpful. Tried to sell extra insurance but did not persist when I said I already had collision damage waiver.
Helped set up sat nav in English.
Car was dirty and the back covered in big patches of dried on bird dirt.
Didn’t shoe up to collect us at the airport to pick up the car. Didn’t take responsibility for their mess neither contacted us to inform us at any point.
Over an hour waiting at the airport for them. We were forced to use public transport so we didn’t they to our hotel until 2am. Forced to rent a car with another provider which increased our expenditure.

Long waits for checkin. Chaotic checkin and checkout procedures. Charged more than my agreement stated (multiple extra deposits). Long ride to-from airport, and shuttle service limited.
Overall, the hassle was not worth the savings.
after telling the counter staff I had excess cover and wouldn't be taking the €154 cover they were aggressive, threatening and rude. saying if there was the smallest scratch I would be charged some ridiculous charge. I agreed to the breakdown cover but did ask why I needed breakdown cover and was told I just need it. I will never use them again!
I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for my car at Alicante airport. It’s a chaotic mess I will never book with this company again and will go out of my way to share what was a terrible experience. By far the worst service I have received anywhere in the world!
When picking up the car, you have to inspect it yourself as no one accompanies you for the inspection. If you miss any issues and they are found when you return the car, it’s your responsibility. They do not accept photos taken during pickup. We suffered from this as the inspector at return immediately pointed to a very hidden scratch on the bottom of the front bumper and demanded we pay 225 euros for it. The scratch was extremely small and could not be noticed during inspection or while driving. We suspect they are trying to scam us. Make sure to thoroughly check the car, including the bottom, when renting.
I would never use Centauro again. the price I paid was 10x the price I booked when I got done getting charged for "insurance" that I was not allowed to decline (even though my credit card insures my rental). I was charged numerous other fees and then had to argue when i returned the car over whether the tank was 75% or 70% full.
