Car conditions were good.
However, service of the counter staff was beyond satisfactory.
There was only one staff at the counter.
He was working on another customer ahead of us but was too slow.
My family was were forced to wait more than 30 minutes outside in rain.
After 30 minute waiting I was told to show UK driver’s license and passport, which was ok.
However, I was also told to provide the National Insurance number of the UK, which I had never been told to provide in advance as necessary documents.
For foreign residents in the UK like me as expats, had never been aware of such number.
I was struggling to get the number on line from the government website but couldn’t get it after all.
It took another 30 minutes and he finally managed somehow without the number.
I was so anxious about not to be able to rent car without the number whereas he was trying to manage situation.
I often rent car in other EU countries but never had such bad treatment and long waiting before. It really annoyed me at the beginning of our holiday.

I was given a golf instead of a suv- counter staff told me this was better but I couldn’t fit my suitcases in, and wanted an suv. They said they didn’t have any, then gave the lady behind me in the queue the car I had booked (mokka). A golf was equivalent size to a fiesta and I could’ve paid a lot less to hire an economy car. Really bad service.

Qeeq tried to resolve the issue the next day and managed to get budget to offer an exchange for the car originally booked. However I was by this time 600 miles away from the pick up location and not willing to go back, when it was their error. No refund in price difference has been offered.

We booked a Peugot 208 or similar and received a Hyundai Kona. Lovely new car, comfortable, plenty of space and nippy. Easy to locate the pick-up location at the airport and we were on our way within a few minutes.

Unbelievably cheap compared to booking direct with Budget, coming on for half the price for a 6 day rental.
Quick and easy to book.
It seemed a bigger, better car than I expected.
Excellent value, especially as it was a one-way rental.
The pick up agent didn't try to upsell me on anything, which was refreshingly unusual.
I was given a complimentary upgrade but was charged £2.75 extra when I dropped off the car, which was puzzling as the staff member said it was the difference between the car I ordered and the car I was given. It wasn’t worth quibbling such a small amount but should not have been the case. There was something wrong with the car’s steering, which I reported on returning the car. It veered to the right at speed and when accelerating. Not safe.
Staff arrived to work 15 minutes after the desk opening times. All other rental desks were operational from 8AM except Budget who started at 9 (well 9:15). That was very annoying!
The car provided was an upgrade on the booking due to non-availability of the booking. The car was also brand new so obviously in pristine condition!
20 minute wait for the counter but once we got served, the process was less than five minutes.

Smooth process and no fuss.
It would be good to get a confirmation that the rental is complete with no surprise charges or extras. Especially if/when dropping off keys out of office hours.
I had to extend my car for 1 week. As per there agreement the changes were £16.2 per day. So it should be £113.4 but they deducted £256.83. I am trying to contact them by customer care, waited for 40min no reply. Email them. No reply yet. Poor customer service.

Budget was fine, the only issue I had with Budget was the car completely smelled of smoke for the entire time I had it, if it wasn't for the fact it was all they had in my category I would have changed it.

Qeeq made an error and actually booked me in a lower category than what I paid for, this was however corrected at the Budget Car Rental Office with speaking to Qeeq over the phone, Qeek agreed to pay the extra charge to correct the category and I eventually claimed the money back with minimal effort from them a couple of weeks later. Very good 'instant' customer service from Qeeq on the phone.
