My booking was for a Jeep Renegade or similar vehicle, which I paid extra to get. I was totally disappointed at hatchback Kia Stonic that was provided.

It was evident that AVIS representatives were not happy with a third party booking. Not sure if will book through third party again.
The car wasn’t clean fron the outside and Inhad to wait for about an hour to pickup the car as there was only 1 representative serving Avis, Budget and 1 additional rental company + they kept advising on getting additional insurance on top of the one purchased from EasyRentCars claiming that there would be lots of hassle and admin fees in case anything happened.

EN ESPERA DEL APOYO PARA LA DEVOLUCIÓN DE LOS CARGOS EXTRAS COBROS INDEBIDOS POR AVIS
I booked three identical cars several months in advance, but when picking up, none were available. They said the cars were rented out and hadn't returned yet, and I might have to wait for hours with no guarantee of availability. We had to downgrade to smaller models, but the price didn't drop. It was twice as expensive as renting through other platforms.
We booked the vehicle for 8:30 am.
When we arrived at 8:35 the branch was still closed.
The clerks arrived only around 8:45 and the whole process until we left took over half an hour.
When we returned the vehicle we arrived at 9:15 am and the clerk asked us to wait until he was done with another customer. A process that took him a long time.
He then told us he owed us a high amount because we were late.
He said the vehicle was delivered to us at 8:38 ...
Initially, we had a pleasant chat with the lady at the counter, but when she checked the computer, she said there were no cars available and offered us a downgrade to a Polo for the four of us. We explained that we couldn't fit four people and two 28-inch suitcases, and she suggested making two trips to shuttle people and luggage. Finally, a teammate went to the parking lot, found the reserved car that hadn't been cleaned, waited for the cleaning, and then took the car. Felt that car rentals in Europe are very unreliable; reservations don't seem to help.
Although there were only 4 people in line, the service was extremely slow. I overheard conversations about upgrades, insurance, and vehicle changes. Compared to car rentals in Germany, Switzerland, the USA, and Japan, the efficiency here is too low. Many unnecessary discussions that should be avoided.
Avis Naples is an absolute gong show. There were huge lineups at the pick area (which is outside the terminal) and we waited about 45 mins to get the car. Wasn’t the car we reserved but that was okay because it still fit our needs. No one inspected the car with us before hand. We dropped the car in Rome and the Rome Avis was great.
Even though I had informed them that I bought full insurance through Zuzuche, the rental company desk still insisted on recommending their own full insurance.
Despite informing the rental company that we had already purchased full insurance through Zuzuche, the counter staff insisted on recommending their own full insurance.
They gave us a very beaten-up Renault. Initially, they tried to provide us with a 5-seater which we rejected! We specifically stated that we didn’t need any insurance, yet they charged us over 390 euros for so-called insurance. There was no paper contract; we were asked to sign on a very small screen. I've rented cars in Italy many times but still got tricked!
Picked up the car at AVIS in Milan Train Station and was told a deposit was required. Ended up being charged 850 Euros more for a 14-day rental. Prepaid 10,500 RMB before the rental and eventually was charged 2,200 Euros and over 17,000 RMB. This is outrageous and I strongly protest. Additionally, the originally booked SUV was replaced with a VW CC sports car. No refund was given for the price difference. I request assistance from the rental company to resolve this matter.
