I returned the car with a full tank, but EZI deducted money without proper investigation. When I first requested a refund, they didn't investigate or acknowledge the issue, which is fraudulent.
After arriving at the airport, you can make a call and they'll arrange for a car to pick you up and take you to their office. It's quite convenient. The same goes for returning the car; they'll take you back to the terminal.
When picking up the car, the receptionist suggested buying insurance. I mentioned that I had already purchased full insurance through the car rental website, but she informed me that the insurance bought through them isn't from the designated insurance company. In case of any issues, they would directly charge 2500 NZD, which is their minimum claim amount, and I would have to deal with the insurance company back home, which could take up to six months. After some deliberation, I decided not to buy it.

There was a Chinese person who communicated smoothly. The process was simple, but I was directly told that the car I rented was over ten years old and had various issues like a potentially unresponsive steering wheel. The probability of it breaking down on the road was high. They asked if I wanted to change cars, but it would cost an extra 700 yuan. I asked how many times this car had broken down before, and they said it was mostly rented for one or two days, rarely for seven days. I got a bit angry and thought, then why rent it to me! It felt like forced buying and selling. They said I rented through Zuzuche because it was cheap. Honestly, spending 450 yuan a day to rent a Toyota hatchback feels really expensive. The trunk could only fit one suitcase, and Zuzuche never informed me it was an old car. Perhaps the store was well-intentioned, worrying that a breakdown would affect my mood more, but it really affected us upon arrival. Regardless of whose fault it is, it was not a good rental experience. I hope Zuzuche can resolve this and provide appropriate compensation.

We waited for the car for an hour on the day of arrival, which was quite frustrating. However, the car was upgraded for free, and we were given an additional three hours for returning it. The staff at noon were very friendly.

The service attitude was good, but they were a bit understaffed, resulting in slow processing. It would be great if they could provide Chinese language support.

The service is quite satisfactory. There are a series of sales pitches when renting the car, but it's okay if you don't buy them. The staff is still very friendly. Returning the car is very convenient, just hand over the keys and you’re done. The RAV4 provided was very new, only had 15,000 kilometers on it, it’s a great car!
Very bad experience, the worst car rental company I've ever dealt with abroad. The representative at the counter was a Korean guy who gave us a very old car. The car had severe scratches, which were not documented on the form. So, we took pictures of the car and went to the counter to verify. The representative was already dealing with another foreigner, so I waited. After finishing with the foreigner, the Korean guy personally helped him by driving the car over and providing excellent service. When it was my turn to verify the car's condition, he was unwilling to help. I insisted that he must check it with me, and he reluctantly agreed, grumbling all the while. The whole car had scratches, and the wheels were seriously scratched, but the form only noted three places. Of course, I had to verify everything face-to-face before driving away. And what kind of attitude is that? Such obvious discrimination against Chinese tourists! Complaint!!

They offer Chinese service, which is very convenient. However, they charge 1 NZD from your credit card, stating it's to test your card, and they don’t refund it. It feels a bit strange, almost like forcibly collecting a tip (similar to going through customs in Southeast Asia).
Waited for a long time at the airport entrance for their shuttle, which didn't come. The store said it was because of traffic. What a joke. Other rental company shuttles came three times. Did they fly?
At the time of pick-up, the rental company did not mention that we needed to clean the car, nor did they state that there would be a fee for not doing so. The counter staff indicated that the rental fee had been prepaid and there would be no additional charges. The credit card was only for a security deposit. They also mentioned that since we had purchased full insurance, there would be no need for a vehicle inspection upon return, just hand over the keys. We were very careful with the car and did not go to any particularly dirty places. The car was not dirty at the time of return, just in a normal condition after use. The rental company did not inspect the vehicle upon return nor asked us to confirm the car's condition. The counter staff asked if we had refueled, and we confirmed that we had. We asked if they needed to check, but the counter staff said it was not necessary.
However, as soon as we got off the plane, we found out Ezi had charged us NZD 255. Upon returning home, we contacted the rental platform, who informed us it was a cleaning fee! Ezi never mentioned this fee at any point. The counter's Chinese lady was very friendly and clear in her explanation, but why didn’t she mention the cleaning fee? This amount is enough for a full car polish. Please help us file a complaint with the rental platform. They asked us for evidence, but because there were no issues at the time of return, we had already deleted the photos. I want to ask, if there’s no inspection at pick-up or drop-off, why shouldn’t the party charging the fee provide the evidence?
I will continue to follow up on this issue with the rental platform. But a word of caution to future users, beware of the dishonest Ezi. Always keep photos of the car's interior and exterior for some time!
We arrived in Christchurch at 11 PM, and the Chinese staff member had already clocked out. We communicated with a guy with a beard for 15 minutes. He recommended that we pay an extra 122 NZD for a new Toyota, otherwise, we'd get an old Nissan with 180,000 kilometers on it. For safety and comfort, we reluctantly paid more, which was a bit frustrating. We picked up the car two hours earlier than the scheduled time, and the return time also had to be two hours earlier; otherwise, we would be charged an extra 59 NZD. This policy is unreasonable since we pay by the day.
