The rear door was very hard to lift. The locking system was difficult as you had to be right next to drivers door for it to unlock. You couldn't lock or unlock other doors without the drivers door open first. This caused frustrations. Also you could only use one Bluetooth connection at any one time. So if one person wants to listen to their music and the driver wants to use the google maps this was not possible.
Thanks
The counter attendant (Patricia) was very rude and unpleasant. She tried to sell us all sorts of upgraded cars and services we didn't need and as soon as she realized we don't want them, she started behaving in a very unpleasant way and wouldn't even respond to our questions.
I had bad experience with them, they do not have car which I booked, and they pay me extra for another car in same category ($20 per day for 17 days!!)
I had bad experience with them, they do not have car which I booked, and they downgrade my car!! from Chevrolet Tahoe to Ford Explorer!!! and I came to them at airport 2 times to change my car, then after huge efforts with costumer services they gave me Ford Expedition!
They promised a Ford Escape or a similar grade vehicle, but we got a Mitsubishi instead, which was quite a letdown. The price might be lower than booking at the store, but it's due to the downgrade in car model. It's not a problem with Budget, but rather the third-party service QEEQ, which I wouldn't use again.
ended up upgrading the car to a larger vehicle. there was a bit of a wait to pick-up, but otherwise the process was good and friendly. The car had not be cleaned before hire (rubbish inside and obviously still dirty on the outside).
The wait time actually meant we ran out of time to do what we had intended so it was disappointing from that perspective.
However the process and car were outstanding.
We got an upgrade. However, the car had 2 small problems: The tire pressure monitor light was on, despite filling the tires, and the seat belts were partly severed. otherwise the car was in perfect condition.
About QEEQ:10.0/10
The insurance we got at the counter lacked the Towing and Roadside Assistance item that was part of the insurance we purchased (and included in the voucher). We refused to add.
“Awful. Charged for add'l insurance TWICE because the company was not familiar with Easyrentcars.com.”
About Budget:7.7/10
Pretty awful. The building was run-down, and there were approximately 50 people in line ahead of me. There was no air-con and it was very hot outside. The woman at the counter was very rude and almost did not accept my reservation because I purchased it in NZD. She gave me a "free" upgrade after I refused the offer to pay for one, and the vehicle I received repeatedly gave me a "low oil" warning - scary to drive!
The service attitude was quite average, lacking professionalism and efficiency. There was no process for car inspection during pickup, and the whole procedure was chaotic.
