The EZU - Auckland Airport car hire location is located out of the airport

Please contact the staff to pick you up to EZU - Auckland Airport car hire when you arrived.

Rental Counter is out of Airport. After collecting your luggage, please call 022 678 9976/09 200 0899 with New Zealand telephone to contact staff of rental company to arrange delivery service.You will be picked up outside door/exit 8 or 9 in the domestic terminal or door/exit 4 in the international terminal. Please note if you delay to pick up/drop off out of free working hour, staff would charge 50NZD for picking up/dropping off.

Drop-off Instructions

Please refuel your rental vehicle and drop it off to EZU at 7 Kingsford Smith Place, Mangere, Auckland 2022. Our friendly staff will check the vehicle and then drop you off at the front door of Auckland Airport. 50NZD (and extra rental fee) would be charged if you need change the time to return the car outside opening hour because of personal issues.

I was happy with the car and price of the hire. It could have been better if the gps i hired wasnt set in chinese and needed to be changed back to english. By the time i was in the car and fitting it the girl behind the counter had already left the building to drop another customer off at the airport so had to wait for her to come back to sort the problem out and the bloke that was there had dissapeared also only reapearing just before the girl at the office returned. It would be good if i could have left earlier. The level of insurance cover to cover all claim excesses turned out to be through a different company to ezu so if i had to make a claim i would still have had to pay a $3000.00 excess and then claim that excess through the other insurance company if something was to happen I would rather have known about this before booking. Anyway the car went well and was fuel efficent and it did'nt give me any problems so I was happy about that.

The car had over 100,000 km on it with several scrapes and scratches, not that I cared, except that they charged me $83NZD for "damage" to the front and back of the car, however, in the pictures they sent I could not see any damage (I could be wrong, but if there was anything it was just minor scrapes that were indistinguishable from the rest of the scrapes and scratches already on the car). While the price was by far the lowest, and I did like their touch of providing a cell phone holder on the vent and a double USB 9V adapter to plug your phone cords into, it was very difficult to get a pickup from the airport since we were traveling internationally and did not have cell phone service. Likewise, they did not provide drop off instructions so when we arrived at 6:45am or so and no one was there and the gate was locked we were lucky to find the somewhat hidden and unmarked drop box attached to their gate (which appeared to technically be on the property next door which is a trucking or shipping company, so we took a chance on that being the EZU key drop box and not the trucking company drop box or a mailbox).

Pick up and drop off was extremely prompt and efficient. Photos were taken of the car and a quick check done on drop off. Previously with a different rental company at drop off they went over it in minute detail that gave the impression that any little tiny stone chip would result in a charge but ezu indicated that little stone chip on the front would be considered normal wear and tear so that was comforting to us after our prior experience. we would definately use them again.

A shallow 3 cm surface paint scratch on the front side panel costs 1183.35 NZD, which is insane, and it took EZU more than 5 weeks to provide the receipt of the repair service. 2000 NZD was charged on my credit card, of which 1183.35 NZD is still charged, and the insurance won't give any update on how the case of reimbursement is processing. Very bad experience. I don't know when I can get my money back.

We were hoping for a hatchback but ended up with a saloon. Luckily the boxed bicycle would just fit in. Having the bike caused problems at the airport pickup as the car couldn’t take the two of us as well as the bike. One of us had to wait for another vehicle. The staff’s authentic Beijing accent felt very familiar and friendly in a foreign country. They had a great attitude, provided proactive pickup and drop-off services, and the rental process was smooth and efficient. They even provided extras like a charger and phone holder which were not included in the rental information. The car was in great condition. When a problem arose with the vehicle, the customer service lady was very kind and capable, and she looked very professional in person.

The pick up is a bit further from the airport but it is okay as they come to pick us up in a shuttle. Approximately 7-8 minutes drive from the airport. Some issues with drop off as no staff at the depot so had to wait for about 30 minutes. I rang them and was told that they are dropping off a customer to the airport. If it wasn't for the flight delay, I would have missed my flight.

Booked corolla but got the different model from this company. It was bigger than I thought. From previous journey, we couldn't fit our bags so had to put 2 bags at back seats, but this car was more than enough to put all . Car was pretty old (ran more than 100000km) and no Bluetooth functions so had to get audio line from petrol station which didn't bother too much Despite car was old, company maintained the car so well so it was nice and comfortable during our journey and customer Service was tooooo good Thank you EZU Even thought its not a big company like europcar , hertz , avis We will definitely Use this company again when we visit Auckland again Thank you

Surprising good quality of the vehicle given the price. When we picked up the car, the guy took about 20 photos of the car including the inside, seemed excessive. When we brought it back, they wouldn't give me a receipt and the whole process of returning it seemed a bit sketchy, but hard to beat the price we paid.
