Firstly, the staff heavily emphasized worst-case scenarios to upsell additional insurance, presenting it as though an accident was almost inevitable as soon as I drove off the lot. This approach felt more like fearmongering than a genuine effort to assist customers in making informed decisions. Secondly, I was offered a Fuel Purchase Option at an upfront cost of $67, under the claim that it would relieve me of the need to return the car with a full tank of fuel. However, based on average fuel consumption for a typical trip in Hawaii, the estimated cost of fuel would likely be under $50—even if the car was used daily. This option, therefore, seemed overpriced and unnecessary. The sales tactic included exaggerating the inconvenience of refueling in Hawaii, including claims that fuel stations were difficult to access or that foreigners might face additional fees due to credit card charges. The most peculiar assertion was that entering a ZIP code at fuel stations posed a significant obstacle, which seemed far-fetched and misleading. These aggressive upselling techniques undermined my trust in the service and detracted from an otherwise straightforward rental process. I would encourage a more transparent and customer-focused approach, emphasizing informed choice over pressure tactics.

As always, the process was seamless, with an easy-to-navigate system and excellent communication. I especially appreciated the WhatsApp messages providing timely reminders about my car rental and helpful tips on navigating the area, including recommendations on places to visit. The inclusion of Google Maps links for both pick-up and return locations was incredibly useful and much appreciated. This small but thoughtful detail made the process even smoother. Additionally, thank you for the heads-up about potential upselling tactics for insurance and other services at the rental location. Your proactive advice helped me feel prepared and confident during the transaction. Overall, a fantastic experience—thank you!

Yes I arrived 3 hours earlier they would not give me the car till after 12 pm. QUEEQ was really trying to help he was very caring.

I walked right up to the counter where I found the staff to be very pleasant and knowledgeable. I spent less than 10 minutes collecting the vehicle. I was so pleased.

The vehicle was easy to find on the booking site and was as described.

Waiting on an itemized bill please so I can verify what I have been charged for on my credit card.

The counter staff at pick up and drop off were amazing. The que took about 45 minutes as there were alot of people wanting to pick up their vehicles. The team at Dollar worked as efficiently as they could to get us through quickly, they were super friendly and helpfulm

Reliable and honest site, would absolutely use them again. I could see pricing from multiple companies hiring out cars and could choose accordingly to budget and requirement.

Very surprise that staff at Dollar are very friendly & helpful, unlike many rude servicing staff in Australia. Keep it up.

Auf Bestätigungen wurde immer Toyata RAV4 erwähnt. Vor Ort wurde erwähnt dieser Typ wurde hier schon lange nicht mehr gesehen

Soweit gut aber nicht verständlich, dass abgeschlossene Versicherung nicht gekündigt oder geändert werden kann

When I came to pick up the car, there was no car available. Dollar couldn't say if or when we could get a car. Dollar did not offer any kind of help, and if we didn't have family living one your away from the airport that could come to pick us up, we wouldn't have any other choice than to stay in a hotel at our own expence. Dollar refused to send me a message when a car would come. The next day we got help to come back to the airport to get a car, and then we actually got one. However, Dollar refused to deduct 1 day from rent, and also charged 15 dollars for toll passings even though we didn't have any car the first day. I've never experienced worse service than that.
