Fast service, clean new car

They upgraded us to toyota camry hybrid and did not charge us for a little scratch on front left lower bumper

Boot space in car was less (shallower) than expected - but good to drive a hybrid

No need for IDP although this was noted as being required. Rental Cover provided was comprehensive and no attempt by pick up location to offer unnecessary extra cover.

No extra charge for returning the car in a different location, and they have a self-service return option! Very convenient and good.

Hertz service was excellent, very reliable.

Pros: The pickup and drop-off locations are very convenient. The staff is also very friendly, and the vehicle's condition is quite good. Cons: There's no clear information about self-service return, no clear return instructions, and no one to inspect the car with you (relying entirely on mutual trust). No one explains how to use the vehicle. The parking lot even lacks staff to consult about driving the vehicle. But I had the same experience with Avis before. Maybe it's assumed that passengers renting the car are already familiar with it. Overall, it's still quite easy and hassle-free. If you're particular about what I've described, I recommend asking the counter staff for all the necessary information when handling the procedures.

The return parking lot was very small, which really tested my driving skills. However, the staff were very friendly and patient.

Average service. There was a violation we had to handle ourselves; they didn't help with it.

Car was not as ordered, they said they do not have that model any more. Staff "Stephanie' at hertz pick up location very rude and unhelpful as we tried to ge a car that looked half decent. Returned early and no refund Returned on Wednesday at 10.00 am when had booked from Sunday through to Saturday

Orderly queue for car pickup.

Picked up the car early in the morning, no queue. The service was mediocre, the staff's attitude was neither warm nor cold. Couldn't find the handbrake and asked for help; although the staff seemed somewhat unwilling, they did help eventually. Overall, Australian officials tend not to be friendly towards Chinese, but local people are generally quite enthusiastic.

The reserved branch closed at noon, causing me to make several trips before I could get the car from another branch.

Called 0736224500 and had to wait a long time for an answer. Accidentally left a purple water bottle in the car but they said they couldn't find it.

I booked a Toyota Kluger, but we got a Hyundai Santa Fe. The size difference was obvious and we felt seriously deceived. We will not rent from Hertz again due to their cold attitude.
