When returning the car, there was no one in the parking lot to check it. A staff member said someone would check it later, and then I had to rush to catch my flight. My credit card was later charged 35 NZD for a fuel difference. I had refueled the car before returning it and only drove a few kilometers. The rental company charges you without negotiation.

Very satisfied, picking up and returning the car was very convenient and quick.

The lady on pickup was unhelpful, and looked like she didn’t want to be there. The man on drop off was super lovely. But we wouldn’t use them ever again.

Didn’t tell me there would be a $3000 bond until AFTER the booking was made. So I couldn’t cancel and get money to rebook somewhere else in short notice. Price of car hire with insurance ended up being twice as much as expected, and we were left with no other option but to continue with the booking upon arrival.

I missed the confirmation reply due to lack of signal, and when the flight was delayed, I couldn't reach the store. Even their internal system personnel couldn't contact them. Later, the staff at the store told me they were off duty and wouldn't answer calls. It was very frustrating. The car was an older model SUV with numerous scratches, which their staff photographed extensively. I feel that international car rental companies with airport locations are more reliable.

This is the first time renting a car from Tianyi. I rented from their company in Auckland and had a great experience, so I also rented from their company in Christchurch. Both experiences were excellent.

Great, the pickup guy was very nice. We wanted to change the driver and there was no extra charge.

Car was pretty old, with 160,000 miles on it. All four tyres were low and had to be pumped up. The paint on the hood and roof was mostly worn off. Mechanically it was fine. Car was advertised as a "6-person minivan" -- but it was far smaller than I had expected. I would call it a station wagon, not a minivan at all. I talked with BRC about exchanging it, and they were not interested. They only offered to have me pay 3x as much for a full-size van. They would not allow me to return the car early so I could rent from elsewhere.

Because rental was pre-paid, BRC would not change my reservation.

Very good car experience, good condition,I booked a gasoline Alphard, and the store gave me a free upgrade to the hybrid Alphard. It’s really great！ the car is very new! The interior of the car is so clean it’s unbelievable! Friendly service staff, very enthusiastic and professional. Mobile phone charging cables and mobile phone holders are prepared for us. The procedure for picking up and returning the car is very simple. It is recommended to purchase comprehensive insurance so you don’t have to worry about scratches while driving along the way. I will choose A rentals company next time I come to New Zealand. Highly recommended!
