They were already at the airport entrance holding a sign with my name, which was a really nice surprise. Everything went very smoothly and quickly when picking up the car. Both pickup and return were right in the airport parking lot, super convenient. But once you drive out you have to pay a parking fee, and when returning the car there was an extra “hidden” charge because they said the car had to be washed first. There’s nowhere to wash the car around there, so in the end I just had to pay for it… and they didn’t even have change, which made the experience pretty annoying. Apart from that, the car was very new and perfect for a self-drive trip in Mongolia.
The car itself was in really good condition, with about 25,000 km on it. The only downside was the trunk space – QEEQ said it could fit two 24-inch suitcases, but in reality it only fit one. This is a small local company and they’re quite strict when checking the car on return. I strongly suggest taking photos when you pick up the car, even of very light scratches, so everything is recorded. I did that and just showed them my pickup photos, and everything was fine. The deposit was €1,000, which is on the high side. The only real issue is the deposit still hasn’t been refunded – they said it would take 3–5 days, but it’s been almost 20 days with no update, so I’m just waiting. Other than that, I’m basically satisfied. Note that this company has a mileage limit, but if you’re only driving around the local area, it’s a good option, especially since the price is much cheaper than the big brands.
Really happy with this rental overall. They upgraded my car to a slightly bigger Renault model I’d never seen before, it was in great condition and the whole pickup process was really quick.
They let us pick up the car 2 hours earlier with no hassle, and returning it was super smooth too—no extra charges at all. Really impressed, we’ll definitely be back to rent again in October.
Big, well-known European chain, so you don’t really need to worry about getting scammed. Of course they’ll try to upsell you, just stay rational with your spending.
