The RAV4 was really spacious – perfect for four people, and the trunk had plenty of room for our luggage. Overall a great experience. Before setting off I only took photos of the body of the car; I really should’ve taken pictures of the wheels too. When we returned the car they found a small scratch on the rim that you’d barely notice, and I wasn’t sure if it was already there, but I still ended up paying 2,000. Luckily I’d bought insurance through QEEQ so it was fully reimbursed. There’s always uncertainty on the road, so I’d definitely recommend getting enough coverage before you drive.

They showed up about half an hour late from our agreed pickup time, which was a bit annoying. But once we actually got the car, everything went smoothly. They explained all the important details very clearly, didn’t try to push any extra insurance on us, and the return process was also quick and hassle-free.

Budget is a big, reliable company – the car was in great condition and pickup/return was super efficient. The Toyota Yaris Ativ we booked had plenty of power, a roomy interior, and was really fuel-efficient. It felt great to drive. Highly recommended!

The local rental office was really efficient – pickup was fast, the car was in great condition, and when we returned it at 7:30 a.m. there was already someone there to help us. The only downside was that the nearby gas stations weren’t open yet, so they took the fuel charge out of our deposit.

Had a great experience with Hertz from start to finish. Both the initial pickup and a later car swap went really smoothly. What really stood out was their dedicated pickup area organized by the level of car you booked. There were lots of cars parked in that section and you could just walk around and pick the one you liked, instead of being assigned a random car and having to go back and change it if it didn’t suit you. This setup makes it so much easier to choose a model you’re comfortable with—really liked that.

The store was really easy to find and they even have a shuttle running to and from the airport.

Fantastic experience as always. I’ve been renting from this company every time I visit Japan—the cars are in great shape and almost always feel brand new.
